Under a media training project of Pulilan Vice Mayor Atty. Imee DJ. Cruz, Frames Per Second Media organized Day 1 of the Media Training on Mobile Photography at the VM AIC Headquarters, Brgy. Sto. Cristo, Pulilan, for students from various schools in the municipality.
The first day of the training, which was attended by students from Polytechnic University of the Philippines - Pulilan Campus, focused on basic mobile photography and was facilitated by one trainer from Frames Per Second Media. The session introduced students to the fundamentals of using mobile phones for photography, particularly for media and documentation purposes. It also discussed the limitations of mobile phone cameras, including lighting challenges and technical constraints.
The trainer explained how these limitations could be addressed through proper techniques and adjustments, such as using available light effectively, choosing the right angles, and applying basic composition principles to improve photo quality.
Vice Mayor Atty. Imee DJ. Cruz sponsored the students’ pick-up and drop-off transportation as part of her media training project. She also committed to covering any expenses should the students participate in photography competitions, whether within Pulilan or outside the municipality.
Hands-on activities allowed participants to apply what they learned through actual photo-taking exercises. Students practiced framing and lighting while receiving guidance on how to further improve their outputs.
The training aimed to develop skilled students capable of competing not only at the local level but also in competitions beyond Pulilan. Day 1 concluded with participants gaining a solid foundation in basic mobile photography and a clearer understanding of how to maximize their devices for future sessions.
