Members of the Salin-Lente Pulilan Film Society officially launched the pilot episode of their podcast, “May Ka-Talk,” held at the headquarters of Vice Mayor Atty. Imee DJ. Cruz.
The episode was streamed live through the Facebook page and YouTube channel of Frames Per Second Media, giving students the opportunity to handle a real-time podcast production with an online audience.
For the pilot episode, students took on both on-camera and off-camera roles, including hosts, technical staff, and production crew. Selected members served as hosts, while others managed audio, livestream operations, and overall program flow.
The students were joined by guests Sen Yui and Gama from FPS Media, who contributed to the discussion and supported the flow of the live podcast.
As it was their first podcast production, the team encountered minor audio technical issues during the livestream. These challenges became part of the learning process, helping them understand how to respond to technical problems in a live setup.
To encourage participation and skill development, the session ended with a bunutan, where members randomly drew roles they would take on for the next episode. This approach allows each student to experience different responsibilities in podcast production.
The pilot episode of “May Ka-Talk” marks another step forward for the Salin-Lente Pulilan Film Society as they move from training into actual content creation and live media production.
